It’s hard to ask for help, but my family is going through a difficult time, and I’m reaching out for support.

My wife lives with advanced multiple sclerosis, and her condition has gotten worse. She needs significant help with everyday life. Her CNA currently provides only 10 hours of care each week, and her needs go far beyond that. We are at the point where she needs assisted living.

I’m her husband and primary caregiver, but I’m also disabled. My cerebellum did not fully develop, which affects my walking, balance, and motor skills. I also have diabetes. Caring for my wife while managing my own health has left me physically and emotionally exhausted, and I’ve often put my own medical needs aside.

My wife also has two children from a previous marriage who have health needs of their own. I do my best to keep our household going and make sure everyone gets the care they need.

We rely on SSDI, and covering basic expenses is difficult. We turn to food banks, Toys for Tots, and clothing assistance to help meet our family’s needs. Earlier medical treatments, travel for care, and other necessary expenses have left us with substantial debt. Thankfully, my wife now has long-term care coverage, which has helped with some of those costs.

I can still drive, but our car is in poor condition, and I worry about how much longer it will last. Reliable transportation is essential for medical appointments, groceries, and everyday needs.

I’m asking for help toward a reliable car, essential household bills, and paying down the debt we’ve accumulated. Any contribution, no matter the amount, would help ease the pressure and give us some breathing room.

If you can’t donate, sharing this post or leaving a kind word would mean a lot, too.

Thank you for taking the time to read our story and for any kindness you can offer.
